The Shadow Dragon is a limited Developer Product and Robux pet in Adopt Me! that was released during the 2019 Halloween Event from October 18, 2019 to November 1, 2019. It was obtainable by purchasing the Shadow Dragon gamepass for 1,000 .

It could be bought from the Candy Trading Shop near the old Graveyard or in the Gamepass Menu. It was located in front of the small tombstones along with multiple other pets exclusive to the 2019 Halloween Update. Other pets released along with the Shadow Dragon were the Zombie Buffalo, and later, the Evil Unicorn and the Bat Dragon. As the event has ended, it is now currently only obtainable by trading.

Appearance

The Shadow Dragon has a skeletal and gaunt appearance. It is black in color with its most notable features including horns, arched snout, lavender glowing eyes, a tongue, wide wings, and visible spines and ribs sticking out along with a glowing tongue- although it is only visible at night. It has a partially exposed rib cage that emits glowing particle effects. Similar to the Parrot, Crow and Frost Dragon, the Shadow Dragon sits on the ground when not in motion.

Neon Appearance

In its Neon form, the Shadow Dragon has its horns, inner wings, and back spines glowing a bright white-purple. Its breath is more visible than it would be normally.

Mega Neon Appearance

The Mega Neon form of the Shadow Dragon has its horns, inner wings, and back scales cycling through different colors of the rainbow. Originally, the areas on the Mega Neon Shadow Dragon shifted through blue and white. It was later updated so the areas cycle through colors of the rainbow.

Trivia

It has one exclusive trick; the Shadow Breath.
The Shadow Dragon is the second dragon to be released and was released after the original Dragon, but with a brand new model.
The Frost Dragon is a variation of the Shadow Dragon in cyan and light blue with curved horns, fewer spikes, and a chest with a non-visible rib cage. The Frost Dragon also bears a similar exclusive trick to Shadow Breath, called Frost Breath.
The Shadow Dragon was originally planned to be a permanent Robux pet, similar to the Griffin, Horse, Panda, Kitsune, Cerberus, Robo Dog, Guardian Lion, Peacock, Red Squirrel, Cobra and Axolotl but due to backlash on Twitter (because of misconceptions), they followed the community's requests to make the pet limited. In the same Twitter post, they mentioned that they "would be more clear next time" with their intentions, and this resulted in the Frost Dragon released in the 2019 Christmas event to have a timer counting down the hours before it would be gone.
The Shadow Dragon was the only Robux pet that players could purchase in the 2019 Halloween Event.
